The population of {0} has snowballed of late – more so than its current housing can cope with. Many souls are huddled together in filthy, overcrowded accommodation. Poverty, unemployment, illness and crime is rife. Worse still is the number of children who, lacking opportunities or support, turn to violence. Recently, many of them have formed into roving gangs of pickpockets and thugs (often at the behest of criminal adults). Their aggression and thievery means people are increasingly afraid to leave their homes. How should we tackle this problem?
Flood the streets with police and guards, and arrest any youths seen acting suspiciously – no questions asked.
We must think long term, and invest accordingly – only better education can save these children from a life of crime.
This is a social crisis. We must provide food, clean water and medicine to those stranded in poverty. The military can assist with distribution.
