Our forces were well-trained but too few, and the pirates too many—and far more well-armed than anticipated. Not only have we failed to reclaim the stolen oil, but good men celebrated as selfless heroes of our homeland have paid with their lives. This is a dark day for our nation—not to mention that we now have no choice but to spend exorbitantly on naval security patrols, to prevent similar such tragedies in future.
Across all our lands, our people weep—both for the loss of our brave forces, and for the shame and high cost of this failure.
